| In the news ... student editors taste the copy for stories that might be used when Willowfield School takes part in a nationwide School Report News Day on 11 March. Teacher Ms Evans reports that news teams are working really hard with writing, editing and fiming to have everything ready. Running Order editor Charlotte told the BBC that one of our reports is about a power-mad bird that wants to rule a village. The BBC story and photo is here. |

There are a couple of midweek Premier League fixtures and three FA Cup fourth round replays to look forward to this week. This won't change the results of the January Manager of the Month, of course.
All rise for Mr Hofmann and Marcel Ryde and Brandon Bennett and Damian Skubich and good old Zaheer Mahmood, not forgetting Deputy Headteacher Mr Hemingway! Champions all!
These gentlemen are Willowfield School's Managers of the Month for January.
Our league chairman, Mr Hashem, told me today, 'It's Week 16 of the 2009/10 Schools Fantasy League and the key facts for our league are that Top Pupil is Damian Skubich with Main Event Mafia at 232 pts.
'And our Top Teacher is Mr Hemingway and his Aldwych Angels, with 243 pts.
'Willowfield School's national position is 308.'

Helping hands ... Meet Willowfield School's 2009-2010 prefects, our helpers extraordinaire. You've read about bullying and unhelpful prefects in books about the bad old school days. Our fine people are quite the opposite. They aren't here to catch students doing wrong. Our prefects help them to do right, help them make the best of their school year, help them make the best of their lives. They're here to help and we can't help but be very proud of them.
