The aim of DfES Training Schools is to build up and share the good and developing practice of initial teacher training (ITT) with other schools and their training providers, both within existing partnership networks and beyond. The Standards Fund provides extra funding for schools that set good teacher training standards.

The Leading Edge Partnership (LEP) programme has been established to identify, extend and spread innovation and excellence in the secondary school sector so that standards of teaching and learning continue to improve in schools across the country.

An Artsmark is awarded to schools who show a commitment to the full range of arts - music, dance, drama and art & design. It is a national award scheme and is managed by Arts Council England.

Investors in People UK was established in 1993 to provide national ownership of the Investors in People Standard and is responsible for its promotion and branding, quality assurance and development. Since 1991 tens of thousands of UK employers, employing millions of people, have become involved with the Standard and know the benefits of being an 'Investor in People'.

The scheme was originally developed to celebrate the achievements of schools that have either made significant improvement or are high performing.

Excellence in Cities (EiC) tackles the particular problems facing children in our cities. Through a combination of initiatives, it aims to raise the aspirations and achievements of pupils and to tackle disaffection, social exclusion, truancy and indiscipline and improve parents' confidence in cities.

The Jack Petchey Foundation is a Grant Making Trust that supports clubs, schools, groups, communities and projects that work with young people in East London and West Essex, England. The aim of the Foundation is to help develop the potential within young people aged between 11-25.

OneLondon is a partnership between the private, public and community sectors. Its members are major UK companies, GLE, the Corporation of London and a major educational establishment. Its aim is to develop and deliver innovative and practical approaches to enterprise and community development across the capital, with a special focus on inclusion.
