This calendar gives a total of 194 days (189 pupil days plus 5 INSET days). Following consultation Council agreed that the school year calendar 2011-12 does not include fixed closures for the religious holidays of Diwali, Guru Nanak and Eid (which in the school year 2011/12 fall on 31st August 2011 (Eid-ul-fitr), 26th October 2011 (Diwali), and 10th November 2011 (Guru Nanak).
