Helping hands ... Meet Willowfield School's new 2009-2010 prefects, our helpers extraordinaire. You've read about bullying, unhelpful prefects in books about the bad old school days. Our fine people are quite the opposite. They aren't here to catch students out doing wrong. Our prefects help them to do right, help them make the best of their school year, help them make the best of their lives. They're here to help and we can't help but be very proud of them.

What's on for the school year?

Our site is mothballed

Sorry, but Willowfield School's website is in mothballs at the moment. Our webmaster for the past few years has had to leave us to devote more time to an important writing project.

There are plans to replace the site with a brand new website, but they are not quite completed yet.

In the meantime, the present website remains packed with the stories and information and photographs collected over several years. A very big thank you to the very large number of loyal regular visitors.

The new Willowfield School diary reveals the top dates for the coming school year.

This early in the year, of course not all the dates in the diary are set in stone.

Photography day is when a photographic record of students as they are now and will be referred to, probably, throughout our lives, will be taken on Thursday, the 10th of September.

There are four more teacher training days to be added to the calendar.

However the dates for the terms are resolved. The first term ends on Friday, 18th December, and our school year goes all the way through to Wednesday 21 July, in 2010, of course.

Summer holidays start the day after term ends, on 22 July. Read all about it on the student news pages. »»
